Position Overview/Terms of Reference
Position: Supply Chain Specialist - ERP-Enabled Warehouse Operations
Supervisor: Project Manager
Reporting Line: The Supply Chain Specialist will report to the Project Manager
Initiative: ERP System Implementation at CENAME for The Global Fund

Context
The Global Fund has invested heavily in fighting HIV, TB, and malaria in Cameroon, with a major portion of funding directed toward purchasing pharmaceuticals and health supplies. At the core of this system is CENAME, responsible for the central storage and distribution of these products to the 10 Regional Funds for Health Promotion (FRPS/RFHP) and hospitals (general and referral).

To overcome medicine management issues at CENAME, the Ministry of Public Health, backed by The Global Fund, has initiated an ERP implementation project. This effort aims to digitize and strengthen warehouse, procurement, and distribution functions at both central and regional levels.

This digital initiative is designed to improve data accuracy, enable real-time stock tracking, strengthen product traceability, and enhance operational efficiency throughout the national health supply chain.

Core Responsibilities
The Supply Chain Specialist will drive ERP implementation at CENAME, requiring a strong on-site presence and combining strategic direction with practical operational support. The role ensures that ERP adoption leads to concrete supply chain enhancements, including but not limited to:

• Directing and coordinating ERP roll-out across warehouse, procurement, and distribution processes;
• Acting as the primary on-site contact for ERP implementation at CENAME;
• Offering day-to-day coaching and operational guidance to staff;
• Training receiving staff to ensure accurate system entries;
• Assisting warehouse teams with ERP-based inventory management;
• Supporting distribution and sales teams in order processing and dispatch;
• Spearheading warehouse reorganization and optimization (FEFO);
• Ensuring consistency between physical operations and system processes;
• Supporting procurement process integration with ERP;
• Identifying operational issues and implementing effective solutions;
• Promoting user adoption through continuous support;
• Tracking implementation and delivering regular feedback.

Qualifications and Experience
• 8–12 years of supply chain operations experience;
• Prior ERP/WMS implementation experience;
• Experience in pharmaceutical or FMCG supply chains;
• Strong practical operational background;
• Excellent coaching and facilitation skills;
• Ability to influence without formal authority;
• Proactive problem-solving approach;
• Experience in complex settings is a plus;
• Fluent in French and English;
• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business (Master's preferred);
• APICS/CPIM certification is an advantage.

Assignment Period: 3–4 months, extendable based on project requirements.
Duty Station: Yaoundé, Cameroon, with occasional travel within the country.
