NGO Good Neighbors is looking for a Finance and Logistics Assistant

 

Project: KOICA Phase 2 (Enhancing children's access to education via improved education, water/sanitation, and child protection services in Cameroon's East Region)

Good Neighbors, founded in Seoul in 1991, operates in 51 countries including Cameroon as an international humanitarian/development NGO. We prioritize child wellbeing through community-driven solutions in child protection, education, WASH, health, food security, livelihoods, and environment. In Cameroon, we partner with UN agencies, bilateral donors, and INGOs for sustainable humanitarian/development outcomes.

Project Context
Funded by KOICA and implemented with UNICEF/stakeholders, KOICA Phase II strengthens local systems and access to vital services in Cameroon's East Region (Kadey and Lom & Djerem Divisions), focusing on education, WASH, and child protection. Good Neighbors Cameroon seeks a Finance & Logistics Assistant to underpin project financial/logistical operations.

Role Purpose
The Finance & Logistics Assistant drives project execution by ensuring precise financial tracking per GNCMR/donor standards and seamless coordination of personnel, materials, and supplies—even to remote sites.

Key Responsibilities
Finance and Accounting

• Maintain precise financial records/documentation.
• Handle petty cash with full expenditure documentation.
• Prepare payment vouchers/financial reports.
• Ensure adherence to internal procedures/donor rules.
• Monitor budgets/track expenditures.

Procurement and Supply Chain
• Facilitate procurement per organizational policies.
• Draft purchase requests/track suppliers.
• Archive procurement files/ensure process transparency.

Logistics and Asset Management
• Oversee project assets/inventories.
• Update stock/inventory records.
• Coordinate vehicle use/transport logistics.
• Maintain office/project equipment.

Administrative Support
• Handle project-related admin tasks.
• Organize meetings/workshops/field missions.
• Manage filing for financial/logistical documents.

Reporting and Compliance
• Generate periodic financial/logistics reports.
• Uphold internal policies/donor guidelines.
• Support audits/financial verifications.

Required Qualifications
• Bachelor's in Accounting, Finance, Logistics, Business Admin, or related field.
• 3+ years in finance/accounting/logistics/admin.
• NGO/international/development project experience preferred.
• NGO financial/procurement knowledge.
• QuickBooks proficiency.
• Willingness to travel to project sites.
• Integrity, negotiation skills, high-pressure resilience.
• NGO legal familiarity.

• Pressure/deadline management.
• MS Office fluency (Excel/Word/PowerPoint).
• Financial software experience (asset).
• Data/reporting tools.

• Local languages advantageous.
