Project Context
KOICA Phase II, funded by Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) and executed with UNICEF/stakeholders, fortifies governance systems and essential service access for vulnerable groups. Targeting education, child protection, WASH, and social services in East Region's Lom & Djerem/Kadey Divisions, Good Neighbors Cameroon recruits an M&E Assistant for project monitoring/reporting.

Role Purpose
Operating in 51 nations, GNCMR delivers sustainable benefits to marginalized children/communities. The M&E Assistant fosters a data-centric project culture, tracking Child Protection/Education/WASH indicators for UNICEF/community accountability. Real-time field data/evidence ensures impact delivery and swift challenge resolution.

Key Responsibilities
Data Collection and Monitoring

• Facilitate quantitative/qualitative data gathering from activities.
• Perform routine field visits for implementation oversight.
• Ensure field teams properly utilize data tools.

Data Quality Assurance
• Validate data accuracy/completeness.
• Clean/validate datasets pre-analysis.

Data Management and Analysis
• Manage project databases/monitoring systems.
• Analyze data for performance indicators.
• Create data summaries/dashboards.

Reporting
• Contribute to weekly/monthly/quarterly/annual reports.
• Capture lessons/best practices.

Accountability and Learning
• Support feedback/complaint mechanisms.
• Aid monitoring/evaluations/learning events.

Required Qualifications
• Bachelor's in Statistics, Economics, Development Studies, Social Sciences, or equivalent.
• 3+ years in M&E/data management.
• Humanitarian/development program experience.
• Results-based management/project monitoring familiarity.
• Mobile data tools (Kobo Toolbox, ODK); advanced MS Excel proficiency.
• MS Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Internet Explorer).
• Integrated project indicator tracking (WASH/Education/Child Protection).
• Quantitative/qualitative survey experience (KIIs, FGDs, observations).
• Similar context/stakeholder work.

Essential Skills
• Strong interpersonal/communication/networking/coordination.
• Commitment to child protection/gender equality/participation.
• Positive team attitude.
• Ethical data handling, especially child protection.
• French fluency; English proficiency; local languages advantageous.
