NGO Striving For All is looking for a Marketing & Communications Manager 

 

Striving For All is looking for a creative, strategic, and results-oriented Marketing & Communications Manager to lead the organization's marketing, communications, branding, and public engagement efforts. The successful candidate will develop and implement integrated marketing strategies to increase awareness of SFA's mission, strengthen stakeholder engagement, support fundraising and partnerships, and promote the organization's programs and impact.

The Marketing & Communications Manager will oversee digital marketing, website content, social media, storytelling, media relations, and organizational communications, working closely with program, technology, and leadership teams to ensure consistent messaging across all platforms.

Key Responsibilities
Marketing Strategy & Brand Management

• Develop and implement SFA's annual marketing and communications strategy;
• Strengthen and protect the organization's brand identity across all platforms;
• Plan and manage marketing campaigns for programs, fundraising, partnerships, recruitment, and events;
• Identify target audiences and recommend effective communication strategies.

Digital Marketing & Communications
• Manage and grow SFA's digital presence (website, social media, email marketing, etc.);
• Create, schedule, and publish engaging content for LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, X, YouTube, and other platforms;
• Coordinate website content updates with the web team and ensure SEO optimization;
• Develop newsletters, articles, success stories, press releases, blogs, and announcements;
• Support email marketing campaigns and audience engagement.

Content Development
• Lead the creation of high-quality marketing materials (brochures, presentations, reports, videos, flyers);
• Coordinate the collection of photos, videos, testimonials, and impact stories;
• Ensure all materials reflect SFA's brand standards.

Public Relations & Partnerships
• Build relationships with media, partners, sponsors, and stakeholders;
• Coordinate media coverage and PR activities;
• Support fundraising, donor communications, and partnership development.

Analytics & Performance
• Monitor and analyze website traffic, campaign performance, and social media engagement;
• Prepare regular performance reports and recommend improvements;
• Stay informed about marketing trends, AI tools, and best practices.

Required Qualifications
Education

• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Business Administration, or related field;
• A Master's degree is an advantage.

Experience
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in marketing, communications, brand management, or digital marketing;
• Proven experience developing and executing successful marketing campaigns;
• Experience in the nonprofit, education, or international development sector is preferred.

Technical Skills
• Strong understanding of digital marketing, branding, and content strategy;
• Experience managing social media platforms and digital campaigns;
• Knowledge of SEO, Google Analytics, email marketing, and performance reporting;
• Experience with WordPress or other CMS;
• Proficiency in Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar design tools;
• Experience with AI-powered marketing tools (ChatGPT, Canva AI, Adobe Firefly) is a plus;
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace.

Working Conditions
• Full-time, onsite position in Douala, Cameroon;
• Occasional travel within Cameroon;
• Occasional evening and weekend work may be required;
