Contract Type: CDD (4 months, September to December 2026, renewable);
Start Date: September 2026;
Location: Douala/Yaoundé (Cameroon), with occasional travel;
Reports to: Programs Department / WETECH Management;
Compensation: Based on WETECH's salary scale.

About WETECH
WETECH (Women in Entrepreneurship and Technology) is a Cameroonian civil society organization accredited as a business incubator, accelerator, and technology innovation center dedicated to women entrepreneurs. WETECH designs and implements entrepreneurship support programs and digital solutions with social impact in partnership with institutional donors, and runs a coworking space. As part of strengthening its teams for the September–December 2026 period, WETECH is recruiting a GBV Specialist-Operator.

Purpose of the Position
As part of its efforts to combat gender-based violence, WETECH has developed digital platforms and applications enabling the reporting, tracking, and referral of GBV cases. The GBV Specialist-Operator ensures the day-to-day monitoring and use of these tools, handles reported cases, refers survivors to appropriate services, and coordinates with other actors involved in GBV protection and response.

Key Responsibilities
• Ensure daily monitoring and active oversight of WETECH's GBV platforms, applications, and phone lines;
• Verify the availability, proper use, and correct functioning of the digital reporting tools;
• Report any technical malfunction to WETECH's technical team;
• Receive and process, with due regard for confidentiality and ethics, GBV cases reported through the platforms, applications, and phone lines;
• Conduct an initial assessment of survivors' needs using a survivor-centered approach;
• Ensure responsive and compassionate follow-up of each reported case;
• Ensure referral of survivors to appropriate services (health, psychosocial support, legal assistance, security);
• Systematically record reported and handled GBV cases (database, tracking tools);
• Ensure regular updating of case files and statistics, in strict compliance with data confidentiality;
• Produce periodic reports on cases handled and observed trends;
• Coordinate activities and actions with other actors involved in GBV prevention and response;
• Participate in sector coordination meetings and existing referral mechanisms;
• Contribute to raising awareness of and providing information on WETECH's tools and services among partners and communities.

Required Profile
• Bachelor's degree (Bac+3) minimum;
• 2 years of experience in the care, referral, or follow-up of GBV cases;
• Experience working with digital reporting or case management platforms is an asset;
• Experience collaborating with humanitarian actors, UN agencies, or protection organizations is an asset;
• Sound knowledge of guiding principles for GBV case management;
• Proficiency in basic digital and office tools (smartphone, mobile applications, Excel, Word);
• Ability to document cases and produce monitoring reports;
• Strong command of French (written and spoken); English and/or a local language is an asset;
• Strong listening skills, empathy, and a high sense of ethics and confidentiality;
• Rigor, responsiveness, and strong organizational skills;
• Ability to work within networks and coordinate with multiple actors;
• Resilience and ability to manage sensitive or emotionally demanding situations;
• Commitment to gender equality principles and WETECH's mission.
